When you enter the email address to add to the BIS, it tries a DNS lookup for the MX record (mail). If it cannot find it, try entering the IP address on the custom screen and the protocol (POP or IMAP).

I got a problem with BIS 2.0

In the past I had my BB set up with confirm delete set to NO. This means while in messages, I simply had to hit DEL to delete that email. As all is pushed from my AOL account and I know I got a copy it was common practice for me to keep the message folder cleaned out.

NOW with 2.0 you can not do this, you get a confirmation message, no matter what your settings. I do not want this and need the one step delete with NO confirmation.

Anyone help?

Sorry but Not!

I tried that and just tried it again and you will STILL get a "Delete Message?" confirmation window with thre choices

On Mailbox and Handheld
On Handheld
Cancel

STILL TAKES TWO STEPS TO DELETE!

I am going to try going to RIM

Are you doing this for each account from the BIS? I'm no longer using the BIS, but when I was I had to set it for each box.

Yes I have done it for each account and saved after each.

Does no one else have this problem. Am I the only one?

Unhappy Sprint BIS 2.0 Help

Good Afternoon,
I had to replace my Sprint 7250 today. I was able too update the device information on the BIS and send the service books. I had icons for each email. After adding the new device, i no longer have a icon for each account

Any thoughts

I don't think there is a way around it. I get the same thing on my BB.

greggebhardt: just thought of this one

under messages -> general options do you have anything called confirm delete? (not sure if this is just for BES or BIS as i'm on both)

mtwilford: what version of handheld softawre do you have? you need 4.1 and BIS 2.0 to get the seperate icons

You have to enable this for each account. While your in 'Email Reconilation' and your email account is highlighted, press the space bar (or press the scroll wheel, select change option) and you will see the email account change along with the settings. I just tried it and no longer get that confirm delete on emails that arrive on that particular account.

In General options make sure Confirm Delete is still set to no, that appears to be a "global" setting however.

Also you have to save each each change in each account individually.

Good Morning
Thanks - I did upgrade my OS. I assumed the new device would have the lastest. I now have my icons for each mail account back

Thank You
