Theme file from 7100x
Please Login to Remove!
Anyone know where to find the .cod file from the 7100x introduced by
O2 in the UK? Seems to be the best looking theme for the 7100 yet.

If someone could find the software, that'd be helpful too. I believe its version 4.0, which would be somewhat of a godsend ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I've been happy with the vodafone theme, but I wouln't mind checking out something new. I doubt its running 4.0, maybe a newer version of 3.8, because I was under the impression that 4.0 for the 7100 was still undergoing some testing and wasn't to be expected until the end of next month at the earliest.

4.0 firmware on 7100t
Can you send us a URL where the 4.0 firmware is for your 7100x? Just curious, what version of 4.0 is it? The same .185, or .188 or something else?

jsdc, if you can put the software up on the web (or if you have a URL), that would be great... heh. if you don't have webspace, i can give you a place to upload (or if you have AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN Messenger, etc)...
PM me if you wish. if you can or if you can't, thanks... ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

The cod file should be named something similar to net_rim_theme_xxxxxx_240x260.cod substitute the xxxxxx for the carrier name.
If you have the device code loaded on to you PC it will be in a folder similar to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\7100-v4.0.0.xxx_P1.8.0.yyy\Java substitute the xxx and yyy for the rev numbers.
I'd like the theme cod as well.

Its available at SPD:
http://www.smartphonedepot.com/produ...00_themes.html
However, it does not work properly on OS 3.8. It does not load up the fonts correct, however, it does load the background up (although its not available as a background image in picture viewer). You get black fonts not white with dark blue border (and vice versa for highlighted text) - not very attractive.
Wait a week or two for TMO and Cingular (and Rogers) to release the 7100 OS4.0 and then grab the theme file from SPD and load on there.

If someone can get me the BlackBerry.alx that O2 is using I can tell you what font missing and build it in to a alx.
I am doing a ton of custumizations to the device code sets that we are distributing globally within our company. For example on the 72xx devices, I've sucessfully combined mutiple carrier's versions together to create a hybrid device module that includes all languges we require. One 72xx install is much easier to support than one from each carrier.
In terms of themes, we distribute one internal version of the 7100 software. Users will get this version no matter which 7100 they have. The user will then have the option to choose the theme and language of their choice no matter if the 7100 came from T-Mobile, Vodafone, or Rogers. This is all done in the BlackBerry.alx and specified as required. Thus the themes, languages, and additional api libraries the we need are all part of the core load and the supportable by our global help desks.
So far it is working out pretty well. I just need to add the Cingular and O2 pieces for the 7100 in as soon as I can gather all the pieces.
Chris

FYI, the theme file works fine on 7100 OS4.0 (HK CSL version).

Oh, I think O2 has the best looking theme by far. Easy to see and read. The other carriers should take note.

What is 4.0 (HK CSL version)? Did you get it working on 3.8 or just
give up since 4.0 is due out anytime now?
