Perhaps you can post a link to the .304 software? I may be able to host it for download if necessary.

Yes, Zen is inthe .alx file just like with Bharti. I can't get the Rogers file to load with Bharti already on my BB. Is this because both files are version 284? There fore the BB doesn't see a new O/S to load? Or something else?

I'm in the same boat as what04. I have the Bharti on already, and cannot get the rogers one to load.

How do you roll back the system?

If you choose "advanced" before installing, You will have the option of wiping the OS.
However, I see that installing the Rogers OS will result in losing all the Bharti extra themes (Vodafone, Orange, Cingular etc.) So I'm aborting. Bharti works just fine.

here is one positive update from a rogers user. the phone is a lot faster, when you have extensions and numeric passwords stored on your phone it dials then and hooks up much faster

other than that noting else that is note worthy

I installed the new v4.1.0.280 o/s from the previousily supported Rogers release.

I don't have the "Zen" theme and I've found a bizarre bug. When your on the phone and change to the home screen the "call time and on-hook icon" bounces from the middle of the screen to the top-left corner and back sometimes.

I've also lost my Internet Browser, WAP Browser, and can't reply to emails.

Just about to re-send my service books.

I'm gonna stick with the Bharti vsn and not bother with the Rogers update. Bharti works great for me and plus I like having the other themes such as Cingular, Vodafone, Orange and o2.

I just upgraded my 8700r to this latest OS and find the hidden icons under Show All no longer have an "X" but are rather faded in color. I am using the BB Insight Icon theme.

And I did notice the increased speed of the extended numbers, which is very cool since I have calling cards programmed with a lot of numbers.

I've also noticed when you change the Theme to BB Insight Icon, the font default is now Bold. I don't think it was Bold before.

Delete the VENDOR.XML file anyway.

I'm waiting for the updated Cingular one too. I guess it will be posted here when ready: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4

Any idea on a expected release date?

This version is still not offered by Rogers and until they do they won't support it. That's what the tech guy at Rogers told me. I guess they must still be testing it.
