I have a nice capacity micro card last used in an 8300.
I want to format it and use it in my camera, but it's in FAT, and the thing won't format - Win XP Pro SP3.
I try to go in using "my computer" even if I unarchive/un-read only, I delete a file and when I start the computer again, it's still there.
Any ideas out there how to do a complete format/wipe?
Lexar card reader, BTW.

Can't the camera itself reformat the card?
