hello everyone

is there a way to block an email address on the blackberry?

let me explain, my girlfriend is VERY active on a forum and she gets an email notification for every thread, private message, etc that she participates in...

from that forum, she gets maybe 60 emails a day...so when she gets an important email she doesnt notice

Yes, she can set a filter in BIS to prevent those messages from being delivered to the handheld.

She can also change the settings on the forum to not get e-mails.

One would read the user documentation that RIM has provided.
If one is less inclined to RTFM, then one could also use Google for quicker results.

the email use to get such notifications is not the BIS email, it is a gmail, therefor, my BIS gave me this lame excuse that it is not supported if its not a BIS email...

good point, VERY good point, however, my girlfried subscribes to sooo many thread on this forum, that it is the only way to follow up...what do you want, she likes to talk!

so the only other way is on the blackberry itself, message, option, email filter, but i read that it doesnt not always work, i tried it myself a few months ago and if i remember correctly it was not working.

You could set up a rule to have it go straight to your junk mail or another folder. So if the subject line says "new message from ex why zee forums" you could filter it that way.

GMail is integrated into the Blackberry via BIS. It's a BIS email account.
