Hi all,

This problem appears to affect all users. We don't know how it started.

We are using Blackberry Manager 4.1.6.23, (Device manager 4.3.0.7, Application loader 4.3.0.18)

The devices are using BlackBerry 6.0.0.448

Everything worked before. But now, when activating a blackberry unit on the BES server the address book comes up black.

Contacts created on the unit replicate to the group wise address book but not the other way around.

The address book synchronization is bidirectional and the server is configured to win.

Log files are clean without errors. Address book is reported to sync well.

We tried to erase the unit and reactivate it again. To no effect.

We really have nothing to go do with.

Please assist.

"log files are clean" . . .so the GWPA log shows each user's sync with db and gw both showing content and without error? Also the GWPA log doesn't show any thread shutdowns or COM errors for any users? If you are in OAPI mode one user's corrupt contact can break sync for the entire server but that wouldn't explain a blank device book after activation.

Have you tried going to a device, then Contacts>Options, highlight desktop (but don't open) and type- rset. This forces a local wipe and server load of the address book.
