I'm on a business trip in California. I took my torch and my iPad. Thinking that I wouldn't have any real issues while I was gone. Well, I'm headed home tomorrow and decided that I had enough time to be without the torch for the 5minutes it takes to reboot after I update the apps from the app store.
I had two updates for my dean koontz app, and sbp video player. I downloaded the apps and got the prompt for a reboot. Clicked reboot now, and im stuck in a boot loop.. WTF? Is there anyway I can wipe the device with out the pc? Or am I without a phone for the entire trip home.
I tried pulling the battery, I tried pulling the memory card, and the sim. I tried pullingr the battery and plugging the charger in. And I have had no luck getting it working. Im just over this now.. Any suggestions?
That didn't work. I tried it all. I guess I'll either wait till I get home and try removing the apps from the loader app, or I'll take it out to the hotel parking lot. And beat it to death with my shoe.

Safe mode was going to be my suggestion. If you tried it, post an update when you get the chance, and tell us if you were able to delete apps and successfully boot afterward. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
CRAP! safe mode came too late. I was able to wipe using the loader program. Lost everything. Safe ,ode came a little late. Would have been an interesting solution, if it would have worked. Thanks for the help guys! You're the BESTEST!
I think you would have been wise to wipe and reinstall in the end anyway, just to be safe, anyway. But too bad we didn't have the chance to find out if safe mode would have allowed you to delete the problem app(s) and boot. (Also, safe mode might have allowed you to do a full backup before you wiped.)
Maybe next time, right? But let's hope there isn't a next time. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
