Myself and at least one other person are having the following problem:
Email shows up on handheld and Outlook Inbox.
Whether read or unread on handheld, it disappears within several minutes.
Email is still in Outlook Inbox.
The messages aren't being hidden and there aren't any rules involved (as would be expected since the emails are in the Inbox).
BES 5.0.1, Tour and newer Curve
I'd like to blame it on our network transition from Alltel to ATT but I guess I don't have that evidence...yet...
I know it's not a carrier issue but I just had to make a gripe about it because they aren't handling the transition of our account very well.
Anyway, the message I got for somebody replying to this thread isn't on the handheld but is in my inbox in Outlook and OWA. I have about 93MB file free on my handheld. This has been happening for a while with a few messages here and there but the last two days it has gotten really bad with like 3/4 of my messages disappearing. Oh, and if it wasn't clear, this is only on the BES account and none of the BIS accounts.
Also, I have previously tried battery pulls and re-activating with BES.
We are running BES 4.1.6 MR8 with Exchange 2007 SP1, we have also started seeing these messages disappear. no filters are applied on the device or rules in Outlook.
Restarted the device and problem still persists. Not sure whats happening, but will try resending service books and see if its caused by a corrupted Service Book (note: this is a poke in the dark)
looking at the logs, I see that the for this user, we have the loads of the following so not sure if it could be related but doesnt look good though:
[719] (12/31 11:08:14.107):{0x321C} {f.lastname@mydomain.com} GetFolderIDFromList No folder ID in list for EntryID
[40599] (12/31 11:08:14.107):{0x321C} {f.lastname@mydomain.com} GetNewMovedMessages - Could not find folder entry id in folder list for RefId=2047036816
I started a case with TSupport. Although the title doesn't fit, they suggested trying KB20770. It's been about 20 hours since I did this and so far so good. If it ends up not working I'll post back.
I have had a similar issue with a few users and it turns out their Outlook was set up to deliver email to their archive inbox, and not their server inbox.

My problem is back again and as bad as ever. I talked to my other user but it is not happening to him; and, at this point I don't think it ever was. I'm still working with TSupport but I wonder if there could be a memory leak or something. I'm on Alltel and their listed Applications version is 5.0.0.419 but I installed 5.0.0.732 from the Verizon site. I did this install back in the summer and this has only been an issue since Thanksgiving.
A week or so after my last post this issue started up again. Long story short: looks like our Vipre AV/Email Outlook plug-in is causing this. It also looks to be a known issue with Vipre and that they are "working" on it.
