Turn on key tones
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Typing and Input > Keyboard.
3. Select the Key Tone check box.
4. Press the key > Save.

Unfortunately that does not help. That feature has not worked for me in any of the Torch releases to date. It never turns on audible clicks when typing using the touchscreen keyboard. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
A little bit absurd that it's not a native feature of OS6...I noticed the same thing.
While they're at it why not change the existing keytones to a nice abrubt "click" (like iphone) rather than the old "boop" that is the only current option! Sound profiles are one of BB's best attributes, they should carry it over to their legendary keyboards.
