Default T-mobile 9780 on AT&T

It's been awhile since I've had a tmobile phone unlocked for att but i'll get 3g on att on this phone correct?

Nope. EDGE only.
T-Mobile and AT&T use different 3G bands.

Yup that's why I didn't get a unlocked Tmobile 9780. I tried that with the Tmobile 9700 but sold it very quickly after realizing no 3G and bought a ATT one.
