hi guys,

we have this environment:
bes 502
bb 9700

the users normally use SAP in the cars to sync the addressbook to the car phone.

the encryption of the device memory is set with include contacts : NO

when the bb is locked the synchronisation of the addresses do not work,
but it should, see blackberry paper : file_encryption_STO.pdf (page 4)

when the bb is not locked its working.
when the device memory is not encrypted, its also working.

any ideas ?

If On the BlackBerry smartphone, the Content Protection option is selected then this may help.

Complete the following steps:

From the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Security Options > General Settings.
Set the Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked field to Yes.
Under Content Protection, set the Include Address Book field to no.

does not solve it, when the device memory is encrypted, the adressbook (which is not encrypted) can't be synced via bt when the device is locked.

i don't know, whether problem is solved when v. 6 is running on bb (bb 9800)
