just got a new blackberry torch been using it for awhile i love it

its my first blackberry device but i got some questions

is there another way to lock the device? i keep unlocking it in my pocket and it makes the phone do crazy things like turn off my mobile network etc..

can i acess blackberry email from outlook 2007? i use quickbooks pro 2009 and i want to email customers there invoices but i need to have outlook express setup and i dont know any blackberry pop settings.

whats blackberry messenger for? like text messages or is it something diffrent?

and is there any apps i can uninstall? half of them i dont even use all i use this phone for is texting email calling nothing else so id like to get rid of a bunch of a crap that i dont need

plus i got only the 200 mb plan with att my catpivate i use that fo r internet youtube facebook etc blackberry is only for business nothing else

everything else about the phone i love battery life phone quality easy to text on and i love how secure the device is and instant access to my email is very nice

No you cannot access an @blackberry.carrier.net address using anything but the BB, that's one reason why we don't recommend you use it.

blackberry messenger is an instant messenger to people with blackberrys. i.e. its blackberry to blackberry.

You cannot access Outlook on your BB. The BB email connects to your email server and pushes email directly to the device.

You will need to send invoices from the device where QB is located.

Ask the IT staff at work for the POP settings to add your work email to the BB.

For apps you do not want or need, just hide them. Many will get pushed by by the carrier if you delete them.
