For the past few weeks I have not been receiving any notifications from facebook on my phone...in the app or as a text. When I go to my account settings on my computer, the option to receive SMS notifications is not available. Also, when I send the set up text to get the notifications, I get no response. Is anyone else having this issue?!

remove the application from your blackberry, and reinstall it, that should work for you.

ive been having the similar problems for the last week or so. When i installed the 1.8 beta, everything worked amazing for a while until recently. looks like i'm not alone which is good.

Mine stopped working at the begining of June, Ive un installed it, re installed it, changed the email settings and nothing. My email notifications even stopped going to my hotmail as well, last week it worked for about 30 mins and then stopped,I now get notifications through hotmail but only on my PC not my BB. So basically the app doesnt work for me.

There is a discussion on Facebook regards this and loads of people are saying its a facebook problem NOT a BB problem.

u know what, i uninstalled the 1.8 beta and put back 1.7 and even though i'm cursing at it every time i try to use it, at least the notifications are working...and flawlessly. it hasn't missed one reply yet. So in a few days im gonna try 1.8 again and if over the weekend its gonna suck, im gonna stay with the goofy 1.7. maybe they killed the 1.8 beta...is that even possible? to ban people from using a beta?
