Default Storm 2 not for me, going back to my beloved Bold 9000

Please Login to Remove!

2 days with the Storm 2 and I had enough. The touch screen is terrible and I hate the feel of holding it. I don't know where the few grammes difference are but they feel like a brick. Plus when one picks it up, that floating screen feel is horrible. Typing is atrocious and one cannot do anything with just one hand. With the Bold I can type and speed dial when riding my horse!
Awful that Storm!

Gone back to Vodafone. I could not wait to give it back.

Are you typing faster with sure type or full keyboard? I'm struggling still with the Storm2.

It took me awhile but I finally got pretty good on the touchscreen keyboards. I prefer the full keyboard, as the suretype frustrated me until I figured out how it worked. Now I can do either seamlessly but I still prefer the full keyboard. I hate the word completion and have not found a way to turn it off. I know how to spell and what to put down. It irritates to have that window popping up all the time, getting in my way. It can be a little hard to hit the right key, as the key is hidden, but you can get a mirror image of it above your finger. I think the worst thing is the slowness of it. Apparently the touchscreen slows the thing down quite a lot. The device sometimes spends a second or two gathering up its jowels to make a move. Irritating in a world of speedy devices.

Reading the various posts, it looks like the 9700 is not as good as the 9000 for typing. I am going to buy a couple of new 9000 off eBay to make sure I can keep a good 9000 for ever.
