Default My 9700 dead during OS upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

It refuses to connect after removing the old OS and trying to come back to install the new one. Pull bettery doesn't solve the problem.
I tried thisWhat to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ
It can connect w/ loader /nojvm, but after JVM and system software loaded and when the loader tries to initialize the device, it get error at "connecting to JVM" and complain cannot connect to device and ask me to reconnect and input password (I don't have password set).
Is the old wipe/reinstall trick outdated for 9700?
Can someone help? thanks.

Default SOS: 9700 dead during OS upgrade

I'm using DM 4.7 and OS 5.0.0.1254 (EastAsia) from Hutchson.
When I try to recover by using load /nojvm, I had the following progress:
Updating Your Device:
V Load JVM and system software (successful)
-> Wait for device initialization (failed when "Reconnecting to JVM")
(error: unable to connect with your device... click Retry)
Read application configuration (not started)
Loading application (not started)
Does the 9700 require a new recovery technique than in the FAQ posted year ago? Please can some one share some experience? Thanks.

Default Is it ATT issue?

Whenever I try other vendor's latest version, it had the issue of fail in "Reconnecting to JVM", same machine, did it multple times, whenever try other vendor's OS (I did delete vendor.xml), it fails, however, whenever I try AT&T's own OS releases, it works. btw, its EastAsian language release had quite some issues...
Anyone else using AT&T, how did you guys succeed to enjoy other vendor's latest release? no upgrade issues? just me?
I had an curve 8320 (T-Mobile), never had this kind of OS upgrade issue.
but this one, bold 9700, AT&T, seems to suck...

Default

You posted 4 posts and did not mention the PC or the Os on the PC you were using. What was the difference?

both machines windows XP professional SP2

On the second machine, initially I thought it fully worked, however, although it loads successfully but when I hard pull my battery the OS cannot but, w/ a blank void battery screen. Tried different version of OS a number of times, now I can always load the new OS successfully, but after done, the machine failed to reboot successfully...
