Default Standby Button

Please Login to Remove!

My standby button seems to of given up working, the one on the top. Could i of altered a setting by mistake or is my handset faulty - Again! Thanks

There is no setting you can change for it.
However, have you recently updated the OS?

Yes, OS 5 (depending on which version) have removed the functionality of that button.
Its a question of trying to fid the right OS with that functionality.

Default Did you ever figure this one out?

I just opened my 9700 and the standby button on the top right does nothing...

thats because its a mute button not a standby button.
as previously stated, any secondary function has been removed in current 5.0 versions.

5.0.0.415 still has the password lock at the top, along with the standby.

5.0.0.536 has new functionality.

I have to hold it in for it to go to standby. 5.0.405. .112 is what I'm using.
