My first Groupwise install

I have agreed to help a client install BES for Groupwise but I'm an Exchange person and know nothing about Groupwise.
I'm just rerading through the install guide and all the hardware pre-reqs are OK.
No BESadmin account is needed is that right?
The other things that are different are the Key Generator Application and the Groupwise client which needs to be installed on the BES; am I right?
There will be a Groupwise administrator there so hopefully I will be able to manage.
Now when it all goes wrong, what log will be the best to look in for errors?
I'm used to the MAGT log, is that there too on Groupwise?
Any advice is appreciated.
