Default How do I view my back-up files?

Please Login to Remove!

I backed-up my files on my computer.

When I go to the file it shows as 'Blackberry.ipd'

I have no idea what type of file that is, I want to be able to view the files in case I lose my blackberry

Does anyone know how to change the file or fix this problem?

Thanks in Advance

.ipd is recognized by Desktop Manager. Period. You can restore it with DM. You can't pick it apart to see what it contains.

Not quite... try Free download ABC Amber BlackBerry Convertor, parse, convert, backup and archive IPD and BBB files to CHM, PDF, HTML, Word, Access, Excel, CSV, IPD Extractor, forensic tool to read/extract data from the .ipd backup files.

There are a number of applications that can "pick it apart [an .IPD file] to see what it contains".

IPD files can also be edited and merged.

So the statement is patently inaccurate. .... with the word "fundamentally" or not ....

What she said. The statement by kellyjdrummer is "fundamentally" incorrect.

I guess my ineptitude as to never wanting to dissect an ipd file, or my lack of interest in such has shot me down in flames. Thus, my lack of "why" is apparent. I'll go back to my cave now.

That sounds like a very good idea.
Fundamentally.

'Must be lonely at the top.

Be cool, and make sure you get that .ipd thing down. I was just trying to help, as everyone else does.
