hi all-

i have visual voicemail v 1.0.12 installed on my storm 2, and i love it. there is one annoying issue with it though... every time i power the device off, whether a battery pull or software reboot, or whatever, when it comes back up, i get messages back in my message folder for every voicemail i've ever gotten on this phone. if i delete them (and i have to do so one at a time, they don't go away if i select all prior), go away fine, but they come back the next time i cycle power.

the problem is increasingly irritating as there are more & more messages to delete every time i reboot... so weird! anyone have any tips?

Get in line! That has been a problem with VVM on my Storm2 as well. You can delete and reinstall the app; that prevented the oldest VMs from returning, but some always do. That is Verizon's solution for that problem. Have you also noticed you cannot have the phone up against your face to listen to the VMs without your cheek pushing a button? It does not recognize the proximity device in the phone...the only way I can listen to my calls is on speaker. The other problem is there is no individual VM folder, so they go in where all of the messages are and if you delete a VM from that list, it will still indicate at the top of the phone you have VMs and a battery pull is necessary to delete the alert. The proximity and folder problem are "built-in" problems according to Verizon. The last complaint I have is if you archive a VM, you cannot listen to it through the app; you actually have to create a MMS message and add a voice file to it!
Don't get me wrong...I like the App - the look and possibilities are great, but it definitely needs an upgrade, especially at $3 a month!

I have one word to fix that for you: Youmail. It works much better in my opinion, but give it a try, it's easy to set up and easy to remove if you don't like it.
