Default BES AD Authentication Issue.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

We've recently upgraded our BES from 4.1 to 5.0.1 (MR2) & I've got an issue with the BAS service.

Using the Administrator account (which is an Active Directory Account), I'm able to authenticate to the BAS server & using any accounts defined within the BAS I'm able to authenticate. But trying to use any other AD account, I get incorrect username & password. The AD account I'm using has both Enterprise Admin & Security Admin roles......

Am I missing something .....

Thanks in advance.

Stu

"The username, password, or domain is not correct. Please correct the entry." error appears when trying to log in to BlackBerry Administration Service using Windows Authentication
Document ID: KB20406 (go to the Blackberry website -support and services and type the kb article number)
This is a known issue ever since BES 5.0 was created.

Thanks for the reply, however this didn't fix my issue. AD authentication on a basic level must be working as I can log in with the Administrator account (which is a domain account). It's just any other account domain account which is why I was wondering if I was missing something.

Thanks

Not intended to be a full time solution, but what if you made this account an administrator of the machine?

Stu, I had a very similar problem (And a load of others have too). We found a fix was to change some settings on the BESAdmin account that the background services are running under. I won't repeat the whole thing here but see this thread:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...ml#post1577795

We didn't find the fixes on the BB KB articles to be of much help either as once we had implemented everything suggested there the login was still not working.
