I just got a BB and I can't figure out how to set up the backlight to turn on when ever I start scrolling or typing can you pls help with this???

Welcome to BBForums. There is an excellent open source (free) program called BBLight which will do exactly what you'd like. Search for "BBLight" and there are instruction on where to download it from.

Yeah, but it will only activate the backlight on the low setting. It's an improvement, but the low backlight is pretty dim.
