Hi all.

I just picked up a new VZW Tour, returned the Droid Eris that replaced by old VZW Curve. One of the main reasons I couldn't get used to the Droid was the great BB Profiles...which I am very dismayed to see they screwed up in the new OS.

Here's what I had on the Curve and this is what I want to do on the Tour.

I want to have the phone ring when its out of the holster and all the other alerts simply blink the LED. When its in the holster I want everything to vibrate. I don't want to have to change profiles to do that...

Also I had the silent mode set up so that if certain people called at night (my wife, my elderly parents) it would ring despite being in silent mode. Any way to do that on the Tour?

Upgrade your OS to 5.0 - all your profile problems will be solved. I went through the same hell you are going through now when I first got my Tour.

Yeah thats what I'll do. All the issues are solved in 5.0?

I'm a little nervous to do the upgrade, does it have to be re-linked to the BES afterwards?
