Default Auto Lock BlackBerry Tour

Please Login to Remove!

Folks:

-I am trying to figure out the function on the BlackBerry Tour to Auto-Lock the device after a given time interval. How do you do that?

Thanks.

Set a password on the device, then you can set the timeout for auto-lock.

Talking Static time interval

That interval will lock your device even if your typing anything.

Is there a setting available that will only lock your device after being inactive for a certain amount of time ? Not just lock after 30 min even if you where writing a lette all the time.

The security timeout takes affect after inactivity. So it does what you want it to do. By the way, you can press the letter K and lock it any time

Yes, the IT Policy setting for this is called 'Enable Long-Term Timeout' and is located in the Device Only policy group.
