Default Remove Visual Voicemail....email issues

Please Login to Remove!

Two different questions. First is there a way to remove bb visual voicemail? I use Youmail and much prefer that to the native app. I am running several apps that use a bit of memory and would like to free up a few mb's.

Second, I cannot get my service books to download. I've deleted them from the phone book and sent them 3-4 times over the past 2 hrs and nothing on my phone. I've used this phone for about 6 mos now, so this is a new problem on an existing phone/service.

Thanks,

Well, killed two birds with one stone. Wiped the device and loaded 5.0.0.411. Great build so far. I'll check on the battery life once I have everything installed and had a couple of days to tweak.

To remove VVM you need to remove all files beginning with net_rim_bb_vvm* from "C:\program files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9000-v4.6.0.304_P4.0.0.247\Java" and re-install the OS. With the files not there VVM will not install.

You don't have to delete the files just created a sub-folder and move the files into the subfolder.

Thanks for the info, if I go back to a att build I'll need that info.

5.0, doesn't have vvm available so that was motivator to move to it. So far I love this OS, it is a nice polished OS, not a whole lot of new features, but to scroll photos with trackball a plus and enhanced options are nice. So far signal and battery is great.
