Anyone been successful installing the new Blackberry Messenger? It's supposed to work on OS 4.7 and higher. Some say got it working on 4.5.

I havent read or heard what you heard. The newest BBM which 5.0.0.54 will only run on 5.0

I believe the older BBM 5.0 versions will run on 4.5 OS

I have just installed BBM 5.0.0.55 on my 8830 running 4.5.0.175.
So far so good.

I had to delete the old BBM before this one would install. Seems like I lost a good chunk of memory. Anyone else experience this?

Upgraded to the 5.0.0.56 and still have some memory leak issues... but not as bad a the previous official build. That Essex cant come soon enough. Come on sprint.

Just lovely. Looks like BBM brought down the RIM's BES and BIS networks. If you havent already done so, download the latest 5.0.0.57.
