Can someone help me before I rip my hair out of my head?
I just got a new device because of a problem with my original one. I've had it so long I can't remember how I got Yahoo email on my phone. I don't see the personal email setup icon on my phone, where the blankety-blank is it?

log in to the BIS site on a pc/mac.
enter username and password, it will then show the screen you can enter your email.
However, as its the same BIS site as your previous phone, you need to use the CHANGE DEVICE option, entering the NEW blackberry's PIN.
This will the push the service books, including for your email, onto your new device.

The same place that the email setup icon takes you too.
The BIS (blackberry internet service) is the blackberry data plan. So as you already have the data plan, and setup email previously, the same login applys.
You need to use change device, so that the data plan is linked to the new blackberries PIN.

No, but it makes a blackberry run better.

I'm assuming therefore you don't have a blackberry data plan.

No, I don't, but the comment 'run better' to me implies a performance increase, which seems difficult without hardware replacement. Thats why I asked you to clarify the statement for me.

Oh, im sorry.
Perhaps I should have said, it makes a blackberry more useful.
Blackberries are designed to work with blackberry data plans. If you don't have one, that's your choice.
"Is life really that much better with BIS". Life? No. But your blackberry will work as intended. Giving you all the features its supposed to.

Ok, so you don't need email....
You don't want to use Facebook, or Windows Live messenger, etc etc.
Thats fine because it works for you.

Ummm....I have email, googlemaps, the chat clients I use, etc.....Thats why I am trying to decide why I need BIS. I'm using Opera mini 5 as my browser, usually. And the default browser for OTA dl's, since opera has an issue with them at times.

Like I said, this works for you.
If you don't want BIS, thats your choice.
