Hi all,

I am a new BB owner, having just purchased a Tour on Verizon. I have had a Moto Q for about 3 years, so this is my first venture away for Windows Mobile.

So far, I really like the device. The call quality, my most important concern, is very good on Verizon. The battery life seems fine, and generally a fun device. I'm sure I'll have more fun as I learn.

If I may, I have a couple of questions.

1. I imported my calander and contacts from Oulook 2007. No problem importing. However, the contacts show up on my device alphabetized by first name, rather than last name. This is counter intuitive for me. How can I import from Outlook and have the contacts show up alphabetized by last name?

2. On my Win Mobile device, any calendar event that I had scheduled for a particular day showed up on my home screen on that day. Is there a way to do this on the BB?

My circumstance is similar to you...coming from windows phones. Here's what I have done so far:

1. You need a new theme for home screen changes. I got "in the know" from BB appworld. I gave me 15 icons on the bottom and appts and messages on the home screen (similar to win).
2. I got bchat from the app store here to give me "threaded sms" like my old device.

With those additions, I am a happy camper. I agree on the contacts, but I have already adjusted. I haven't figured out a way to go last name...haven't really looked either.

1. you need to go into options - localisation and change Name Display to Last Name, First Name.

2. you need to find and download a theme. These are called TODAY or TODAY PLUS themes.
TODAY themes display Calendar and/or Messages.
TODAY PLUS themes display Calendar and/or Messages with 6 icons at the bottom.
