Hi i am looking to see if someone can tell me how to dial a 4 digit extension from a blackberry. If i dial the 4 digits ie 1082 it works but if i try to dial a saved 4 digit number from the contact list it says its incorrect. It prompts to insert a number. Which if i do it then dials when i call all 4 digit numbers. The company i work for use mobex so all out numbers are dialed using 4 digits. i imagine the 4 digits i am prompted to insert are then going into the smart dialer which i dont need to use. any help would be appreciated.

The cell systems wont complete a 4 digit number unless your dialing a special system number like 911 or 411 or in some cases *223 *9354 to reach companys like radio stations who have arrangements with the carrier to allow short dialing.
You can have the BB address book dial a full 10 digit number and insert a few pauses (,,) in the dial number then add the extension. I use this to log into my VM and avoid having to hit a lot of numbers once connected.

925-555-5555,,,,9999,,,,1234
number pause extension pause password.

You need to put in as many pauses as required by the delays needed.
