Just got my 9630.
Anyone able to get jmirc running?

Edit: here's the error: *** Error trying to connect to IRC server, aborting...Exception:Invalid url parameter.

I had that same problem for ages. Then found how to fix it via a completely unrelated post, but i'll fill you in.

on the BB menu; Options > Advanced Options > TCP

Then you need to enter the APN used by your network. in my case it ended up as 'orangeinternet' with no username or password. then Jmirc and WirelessIrc worked a charm.

I don't know if that works for Sprint. I know people with other networks have used that.
From what I been reading looks like it's just an issue with the blackberry 9630 for now.
Don't know many developers that actually update applications for IRC needs.
