Hey all, I've looked everywhere and I can't find an answer for this.
I have not been able to connect my Blackberry with BIS plan to the Exchange 2003 server in our office. I successfully connected my two personal email accounts. I have tried the regular email and password thing and auto-detect for outlook, both to no avail.
Specifically, where can I find the mail server address in Windows small business server 2003? I think that may be the part I am getting wrong.
Is there anything that I need to look at on the server under my email address to be activated? The other 5 Blackberries at our office work fine, and have for about a year. Mine is a new addition.
Check out KB03652
If you're on an Exchange server, and if you can access your work email over the Internet via POP/IMAP/OWA then you can integrate your email using BIS.
How can I tell how the others are set up? I logged into the BIS under another user's name, but the only info there is the email server and email account. I've tried using this server address but it does not work.
I can access OWA but adding an email that way didn't work. The address when I am using OWA is https://<IP ADDRESS>/Remote/default.aspx which seems to be different from the other examples I have seen.
I have become the in-house IT guy but I don't have much experience with Microsoft servers or exchange.
When you try connecting to OWA, is the IP address you're putting in an internal one, or an external one? Are you going to OWA from within your work network, or from home? If you're connecting to OWA from work, it's possible you're putting in an internal-only IP address, which your BlackBerry wouldn't be able to access.
