Default Bedside Mode

What's the benefit or point of this feature? I like it, I just don't understand the why behind it.

if you look at the settings for this, you can have it turn off the mobile network.
it basically allows for the clock to be displayed and puts the device into a slightly lower powered state.

But the clock will eventually dim out... at least mine does.... is it supposed to stay on all night like a bedside clock?

Bedside mode, by default, only stays on when plugged in to a charger. The "DIM" option, simply turns off the KB backlight and dims the screen. Without it plugged in, bedside mode or not, the device screen will shut off. There is a cradle I use with my bold, which keeps the device upright while charging and I use it as my bedside alarm clock/clock.

Bedside Mode Options:

Disable LED: Yes/No
Disable Radio: Yes/No
Dim Screen: Yes/No
(if Yes, your screen will remain on but dim if on charger. If No, your screen defaults to your backlight timeout setting)
Sound Profile: (choose applicable sound profile)

where's the sound profile option? I've noticed that my sounds are disabled when I put my phone into bedside mode -- I won't want this to happen.

I checked in the bedside mode options -- sound profile isnt there....am i looking in the wrong place?

Thanks!
