I have a pest that keeps texting me and calling me and I would like to just block the number. Can this be done?

Contact AT&T and they should be able to block the number for you.

Is there any way to do this with the phone itself?

I use a program called Black/White list that works good. This is not freeware though. Another program that might do want you want is YouMail which is free.

You can also create a "New Exception" under Profiles and re-direct the caller to your "Quiet" or custom profile appropriate for the caller. The weakness to this method, is that while you won't get a notification when they call, they will still be able to leave a voicemail message.

According to that website, it says "This product is not compatible with 9000 (Bold)"

Perhaps not, but I have been running CallsBlocker successfully on my Bold since I got the Bold 2 months ago. Works perfectly... and BTW, if it ever fails, you can always get a refund of 100% of the price you paid for it.

Yes. The CallsBlocker simply doesn't ring the phone and directs them directly to VM.

I've been running it since I got my BB. It is great for ex-girlfriends, annoying people, and occasionally parents too :}

I use i,Call Manager Light. And since it is capable of dropping the call without sending them to voicemail, and it works for me, I'm happy with it.

While there has been recent discussion regarding support for the application, until such time as I get another device and need a new key or the app stops working due to an OS upgrade, I haven't been concerned at this time. As with other apps, it has a trial mode and plenty of time to see if it will work for you or not before paying.
