Default Duplicate Calendars after mailbox moves to Exchange 2007

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a problem with moving mailboxes from Exchange 2003 SP2 to Exchange 2007 SP1 and the Blackberry users running 4.3 code ending up with duplicate Calendars?

At first we thought it was duplicate items, but drilling deeper the 4.3 devices were showing on the Calendar | Options, two seperate Desktop calendars. I've run into the with a couple client migrations now, just seems to be 4.3 devices, vendor and model number agnostic, and varies from 50%-90% incidence depending on the BES sp level it would seem. entering in "rset" sometimes fixes it, but doesn't remove the second "Desktop" calendar. None of the rollups seem to talk about it, and with a customer that is going to have over 600 of these 4.3 devices, upgrading or telling customers how to enter 'rset' do not seem like viable options.

have you updated the MAPI / CDO components? 4.3 has been a notoriously bad series of OS's ... not as bad as 4.2.1 though.

had the issue with the latest and second latest versions of the MAPICDO installation for 2007. But had zero issues with 4.1, 4.2 4.5 and 4.6 devices, was strickly only with 4.3. I've been trying to give my customers advanced notice to try an upgrade or deal with issues, but naturally they would like something better, I would sure hate to be the bes admin dealing with 600 4.3 devices, what a cluster F.

Wirelessly posted

We've had similar annoyances whem moving mailboxes and failover/failback and narrowed it down to 4.3. Brought the issue to RIM and they confirmed that it is confined to that release.
