Default I find myself missing my G1...

Please Login to Remove!

Since it's debut, I was in love with the 8900. I just had to have it! I stumbled upon an ad in Craigslist that offered to trade his BB 8900 for a G1. It just so happened that the local CD store had a used G1 for sale for only 250. So I bought the G1, contacted the seller, and traded with him after three days of tinkering with the G1.

But now that I have the Blackberry that I so longed for, I find myself missing the G1... With the G1, google maps loaded so fast and i was able to find my way to the seller, the notifications were a cinch to get to by just pulling down the tab, and apps were so much more accessible.

I'll admit the battery life is what I hated most about the G1, and the Curve dominated it. As well, as picture taking. But the G1 just seemed more convenient.

Do I trade my 8900 for a G1 again or what?? I know I'm most likely going to get biased answers, but most people here being long time blackberry users, I need assurance that this device is indeed better I guess?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

I feel that you should use the device that you like. You have used both and you seem to prefer the G1, so that may be the device for you. I really like the Curve 8900, so that is what I use.

Agree with the above. It is all a matter of personal preference and how the device works for you.

How did that copy and paste work for ya...oh wait..the G1 doesn't have that and the "Cupcake" is suppose to have but hasn't been released yet. When I had my G1 at Christmas they said it was going to be released soon...well still haven't seen it. No onscreen keyboard either..

i would say its all about personal preference and what you will use the phone for i have the 8900 right now and before this i had the G1 both phones are amazing and have their great features i will say that my sis has the G1 and i do miss some of the little things on that phone but the "Cupcake" update has been released and it gives the phone a video recorder and makes it a little faster you can download an onscreen keyboard for free and it does have copy and paste now. something to think about but keep playing with the BB and u might not want to change it jus my 2cents

Lots of choices for data devices available today...kind of a nice problem to have, actually...

Sell it. Blackberries suck. I'll give you $50 for the piece of crap. You will also be happier on those great G1 forums websites. This forum sucks like the phones.

Sorry that neither BlackBerrys or BBF are meeting your needs. You are most definately free to move on...

I thought it was obvious that I was kidding in response to this thread about G1 regret posted on a Blackberry forum.

It is sometimes hard to pick up sarcasm online.

Maybe a </sarcasm> should be used
