Hi i am wondering if any of you have had the problem were a call comes in and doesnt pick up caller ID information from your Address book. Like my boss will call me and it will only show his phone number, then the next time he calls it shows me his name and phone number, then he calls again and no name. This happens on Storms and 8830's, we are on Verizon and have a BES. Thank you for your help!

My guess is that you have content protection enabled for your address book.
Go to Options, Security Options, General Settings, the under Content Protection make sure Include Address Book is set to "No". That should fix it. If not you may want to just disable content protection completely. Mine has always been disabled and I have no problems at all. Good luck.

Oh yeah, if you cannot change the option, then contact your IT people to change the policy for the blackberry since you are on BES.

I sure it's much simpler than content encryption - it's probably the smart dialling rules not being set correctly.

go to phone call log
press the bb button, then select option, smart dialling

check the country code is set correctly. if not then change it - e.g. +33 for franc, +49 for Germany etc..

Try changing the theme. I recall doing this on my Curve and it solved the problem.
