Recently I've been having a problem with one of our corporate blackberries receiving external email. This has persisted through multiple wipes and a sim card change so I'm wondering if it's sending via pin from redirector or something of that nature. Is there a way to block this method of email pushing via the BES server? My company is currently running version 4.1. I'm completely unconcerned with any email being pushed to our phones that are not from the BES/Exchange server and need a solution to put a stop to this. Any ideas?

The device's PIN/IMEI probably has a BIS account associated with it.
A wipe and/or SIM card change will not get rid of the BIS account.

Go into Options > Advanced Options > Service Book on the handheld and look for the emailaddress [CMIME] service books and delete them.
(Don't delete the Dekstop [] service books... those are BES.)

They'll likely come back so you'll need to delete the actual BIS account as well. It might take a call to the carrier to do that.

You can block incoming BIS messages via IT Policy setting if you want, but that's only a band-aid to the problem. You want to fix the problem.
