Anyone know when BlackBerry Professional 5.0 will be out now that BES 5.0 is out?

From what I hear they are shutting down Professional in the next little while. No further updates to that software or BlackBerry Unite

What is your source for that? I find that hard to believe since a lot of small businesses can’t afford $4000 for the BES software and the dedicated hardware.

I checked with our Blackberry sales guys in RIM and they advised they had no plans to cease the BPS product line, but that could be subject to change like everything else.. so as far as I am BPS should still get a new version sooner or later

For small businesses, I believe you can get the BES 5.0 Small Business Edition...

I have seen many articles on BPS being shut down at some time along with Unite.
I hope they don't (and it didn't make sense to us) but I hope you are right and
they keep it running.

I am pretty sure that BlackBerry Professional replaced the Small Business Edition.
