Question Can I Auto Forward From Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a company-supplied Bold that is on our corporate system. Unfortunately, they lock out nearly every beneficial feature outside of email, calendar, and phone service (I'm not sure why they even give us these things). I am thinking about getting an iPhone as a personal phone. Is there a way to setup my Blackberry so that all of my email and calender information automatically forwards to my iPhone?

Also, I cannot load any third party apps onto the Bold, so the settings would have to be able to be done on the phone itself - not through any special utility.

Thanks ahead...

Since they have been so careful to set up a secure system, I don't think your company would be happy with your plans to undo all that by sending email out to a personal device. Luckily for them, since they also prevent you from loading third party programs you are not likely to be able to do it.

Get an iPhone and use it for your personal needs. Use you companies Bold the way they intend, or leave it at work.

Does your company give you a way to forward mail through a control panel or web portal? Or do they give you POP or IMAP access, if so then you can just POP from your iphone.

We use Lotus Notes for email. I poked around on that and couldn't see anything that I could select for email forwarding. We used to use Outlook which made it easy. Now, they're locking us down very tight. I had a Blackberry World Edition that I really liked using. I travel a lot and have a need for all kinds of programs from GPS, to travel/flight tracking, to just plain music listening while stuck in an airport. For the amount of use they've given us access to on the Bold, they might as well have just given us a cheap flip phone.
