mine works fine on my 8900. my wifes 8320 has the check network settings error. i dont get it.

as far as shazam it is free for 60 days. after that it is still free to tag songs. you will pay for extra features. if all you want to to is to tag songs then it will be free for you period. even thou its only 4.99 come on 5 bucks that is nothing.

Thats not the point!

Point is it's free elsewhere! We are being taken advantage of!

As per previous posts by me and other UK people about App world coming back with a "get a plan that supports browsing" stupidity message.
I tried this morning, wondering if T-Mob UK had worked it out yet, no, but then I turned on my wi-fi, and clicked the app, and low and behold, it works.

For anyone in the UK getting similar messages, try over wi-fi.

Default UK Vodafone Customers APP World Now Working

Just read over here that App World is now working for UK Vodafone Customers. It gives instructions on how to get it up and running

As a side note the version has jumped from 1.0.0.26 to 1.0.0.27.

Got an e-mail from T-mobile this morning to phone their blackberry support team so will try that tonight as it's an 0845 number.

I have AppWorld up and running perfect now on a storm on Vodafone UK.
Went back to the blackberry website and noticed there was another version so downloaded it and it worked straight away.

As per the Vodafone post, I have just downloaded the new version change .27 instead of .26 and my phone is just rebooting now. I have a feeling it might work after this.
Will edit once the 5 mins of booting time is up...sigh

EDIT: Yes, it does now work once re-downloaded the new version.

RIM has obv, released it for USA, Canada and UK with something missing that UK needs it to work, but USA and Canada don't.
Shame on them for that, but good for them that they got it sorted within 24 hours.

Thank you for this very valuable post. I struggled with getting App World working all day yesterday. It's nice to have a solution to the problem.

Thanks again. Richard

4.6.0.216 on Bold
memory is just below 50 now with facebook, WLM, twitterberry, pocket express, google maps and the app store loaded. And have modified BB.alx for the 4 extra themes.
But I removed BB messenger, BB maps, tasks, memopad, password keeper, all languages except english, brickbreaker game.
