Default New BB Curve (2 weeks old) not ringing until battery pull?

Anyone experience this before or know what causes this? Only reason dw knew I called was the mixed call reminder. When she did a battery pull, all seems to work again. She only has google maps and google mobile apps installed.

Are you using a custom ringtone if so where is it stored on the device or on a media card.

Or are you using one of the default ring tones?

I assume the "phone" option in the profiles is set correctly?

May want to update to latest OS.

Got latest 0S, using standard/default ring tone (pretty much stock unit), units in stock "Normal" setting. Again, ringer worked again right after battery pull. What kills me is unit working like a charm (only 2 weeks new) until now. And this morn we really need the ringer to work and it failed miserably.

Since you've only had it for 2 weeks you may just want to swap it out for a new phone completely.

But, we cannot duplicate the problem, that is the frusturating thing. Will the retail store take back the phone and exchange based on my word? I have only brought phones back for repair AFTER 30 days and they send me to repair centers to do exchanges or repairs.

If the battery pull fixed the problem I wouldn't worry too much about it unless the problem becomes more regular. Could have just been a BB glitch -- no rhyme or reason behind it.

actually used the ctrl-alt-del method (and did not even drop the bb) instead of the battery pull...

This sort of things just bugs me...like yesterday, I called dw several times during the day and it took her extra time to pickup - each time I wondered "oh is it happening, again???"

Oh yeah I love the keyboard shortcut so much better than the physical battery pull. I have a case on my BB so it would be an extra pain to take apart the case, just to get to the battery.

dw?
