I can't take it anymore, I own a curve 8320, mac and I have pocketmac installed, but all I want to know is this!

Can I upgrade my curve to OS 4.5, with what I have?

No, upgrading the OS is done only in Windows running the Blackberry Desktop Software. On a Mac you can run Windows with Boot Camp or VMware. Parallels is no good for this.

On Intel Macs, that is.

Yes find a friend with a PC. It won't hurt it and you can uninstall the programs after you use them. Bring chocolate and roses.

Wirelessly posted (9530; .135 MF231)

Make sure the chocolate is windows compatible, of course!

And set a System Restore Point on your friend's Windows machine before doing anything. Then when you finish, uninstall the BB DM software, the Device software, and restore the machine to the point just before you had installed anything. That will put it back exactly where it was before you started and when it crashes on him (which it will within an hour or 2 since it is, after all, Windows), he can't blame you.

I have a PC right next to my Mac and Windows has never crashed on me after installing an upgrade. This statement simply is not true.

Also Mac's never crash? Hardly. I went to do a simple reboot the other day, no upgrade or anything I just hadn't reboot in a while and my Mac crashed.

I love my Mac but it's not infallible.
