As far as I've heard the 9520 isn't coming at all to anyone. Now having said that I do believe a touch screen bb is coming to Rogers sometime this year but it certainly won't be the 9520 storm.

Hmm, well there is suppose to be the touchscreen Bold that is said to come in September. But if this phone isn't coming to anyone, why are they Rogers branded Storms, 9520 in their presentation, 9520 for Rogers on Horizon Wireless?

First of all the Rogers presentation wasn't and isn't gospal and more of a wish list and second I didn't know the Horizon was a division of RIM. Lol.

So the whole presentation was just a wish list for Rogers is what your trying to say? And I never said Horizon was part of RIM, but they got word of the Storm coming in March.

the presentation is a list of releases that are tentative... meaning they are planned to come and be launch but plans can change all the time, so maybe there was a 9520, but not there isnt...

My Horizon comment was sarcastic and Cory has it right about the presentation.

i was told possibly 2Q, but when and if will tell the truth, i you need a phone buy one, then when the phone you want becomes available, sell your current phone.
Quite simple indeed

Here you go. Just when we're starting to get excited for the CDMA BlackBerry 9630, here's a first real image of the BlackBerry 9900 (looks like the image itself used in the Rogers document is from a RIM device simulator). This is what has been referred to as "Pluto" for sometime now.
So what's the BlackBerry 9900 all about? We're talking about a BlackBerry Bold style-device with SurePress Touchscreen. Like the Bold, it'll be a 3G device and use the same speedy processor. What it will not have is a trackball. Crazy. Wicked.
According to this document it's slated for Rogers Q3 release, though we wouldn't be suprised to see it hit in Q4. And of course, like the Bold, we'll see this rollout to GSM carriers around the globe. Excited much??!!!
Thank you from Crackberry for the link

What makes you say that the 9900 won't have a trackball?

Do you not see the pictures? Plus even the earlier prototypes didn't have trackballs and it had the SurePress screen.

That one pic is terrible and you can't really make out any real details unless there's other pics I haven't seen.
Edit: Nevermind I saw the pics that show it without the trackball. Personally I don't really see such an advantage in having a touch screen unless it's to make the screen much larger and that just isn't the case with this device. It's like RIM is making all these different devices cause they can instead of cause we really want them. They should make a device that's a little smaller than the bold and a little bigger than the 8900 with all the features of the bold but improved OS, especially browser and the camera and mem of the 8900 and also with the real atomic trackball. Now that would be a device that would keep me happy for a long time.
Oh wait, the Niagara is sorta that device.

If RIM had the guts to make a touch screen BB, they should really make it a durable and almost scratch free screen to make their packaging more competitive in the market.
