Default Emails Coming In Late

Please Login to Remove!

I'm noticing that everytime I get an email on my computer, in Microsoft Entourage for mac, I don't get it on my blackberry until 5-7 minutes later. Shouldn't I be getting it on my blackberry first? I changed the settings on my blackberry for the "mailbox conflicts" option, "handheld wins". Wouldn't that have fixed the issue? This is on my 8900 I just got from t-mobile and the same thing was happening on my curve 8320 before I upgraded.

BES or BIS, who is your email carrier.

Another possibility is to resend the service books, its simple enough to do, also I shut the reconciliation off (no need for the server and BB to communicate with one another) just me. I think the setting that you are referring to is in regards to sync which is not relevant for this application.
Also what kind of service are you getting? is this happening at home/work with only 1X data service?
I have aol, gmail, optonline and hotmail on my BB (9 mailbox accounts total) all are with-in 20 seconds of the computer, but I also have Verizon (not sure if that matters). If these don't work, don't give up yet. Call your service provider and explain email is a time sensitive issue. Email settings/protocols like IMAP or POP3 can make a difference as to whether the email is left on the server or not, which "MAY" play a huge part in this.
Just some food for thought. Good luck.

I have BES for my work email but also have my Gmail associated with the BB. It's pretty quick. I heard that Yahoo pushes email instantly as well.

So what should I do? Try to forward my work email account to my gmail account?

I am also experiencing this very problem. The mail will not arrive at my BB until after 7 minutes of it originally popping up on my screen.
I have upgraded to the premium hotmail account so I would be able to send and receive my hotmail messages onto my BB.

At the time of setting up the e-mail account on my BB, I also created a new BB one which is @02email.co.uk - do I even need this or shall I just delete it?
This address is under default services for 'Calendar (CICAL)' and 'Messaging (CMIME)'. I'm wondering if I should change this with my hotmail address as primary?

I also looked for the settings that the original poster has changed "the "mailbox conflicts" option, "handheld wins". " - but I could not find this on my BB.

If this is the norm for hotmail would it be worthwhile creating a gmail/yahoo account and then arrange for any hotmail messages to be auto forwarded to gmail/yahoo?

I seem to have to send my service books quite often, even though it's only be working just over a day!

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Gmail and/or BIS is having a bad couple of days.....Gmail has never been so slow. I don't know why....others are having trouble, too.

Sorry, what is BIS?
I don't have Gmail, but was considering (see post above yours) getting one, or Yahoo, to then forward my hotmail messages so (hopefully!) they arrive to my BB a bit quicker than the 7-20 mins it's taking currently.

A 15 minute delay is normal. Do a search on email delivery times and you find an explanation of how BIS (personal BB data plan) works.

I have found that if I am waiting on an important e-mail - if I open up my browser and click on a site - as soon as the internet connection starts - the e-mail will come thorough.
