this is a new headset that works with 4.6 OS or higher and, to my knowledge, is the only headset that has forward/back skip in the line controls that work with the blackberry. they're only about $30 shipped if you shop around. i just ordered them and will report back after i put in some hours with them. yes it includes the case and everything you see pictured. an absolute steal at that price if you ask me.
I dunno, maybe I'm becoming more of a low level audiophile but I cringe at the thought of listening to my music through stereo bluetooth. I haven't tried the particular set you mention but have tried other stereo bt sets and they sound horrible; low bitrates and terrible interference.
got the headsets and absolutely love them. line controls work great as i'm now able to forward and reverse through tracks. now i can leave my berry in my pocket and save battery life as anything i do with the line controls; skip, volume, pause/play, will NOT turn the screen of my berry on.
as to the sound quality, well i can only compare them to my sennheiser cx300 which is a low end premium headset (mic-less). compared to those, they sound nearly identical with good bass and nice highs. if i had to be really picky i'd say some of the vocals sound maybe a half notch better on the sennheiser's but you'd really have to be anal to hear the difference.
THESE EARBUDS DO NOT STAY IN YOUR EARS! I've even tried to replace the silicone earbud covers with ones I know fit my ears and they still will not stay in place. Don't even try to walk or exercise with them. It's a totally frustrating experience.
I wrote to RIM about the problem, and they told me that they do not manufacture accessories for the Blackberry and to contact the manufacturer directly. Whatever. They're going back to the retailer that sold them to me. Avoid this product until design is improved.
