If you have a city that has high crime, the last thing you want to do it mandate that all citizens must own a firearm. That to me is a recipe for disaster, just like your story of the guy shooting the carjacker. Thats my view on gun control.
A ban on assault weapons was in effect from 1994 - 2004, this is nothing new. Please read the legislation before simply saying it will make you a criminal.

I have read it and I do not plan to abide by it so there for I will be a criminal. I was criminal while it was in effect then too.

Kris we have had three innocent people killed 2 were old ladys killed in Atlanta. The people they were after werent even in the home. The ladys drew their weapons and the police shot them dead. They were defending their homes because they thought the crack heads were coming in on them. I just do not agree with them.
