Question dictionary choices

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to decide on a dictionary for my Blackberry Curve 8330. I was thinking about purchasing one of these two:

MsDict Concise Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus - by Mobile Systems, Inc.
Advanced English Dictionary & Thesaurus - by jDictionary mobile

Has anyone used either of these? Or are there others that you might recommend? I would like to get a many words as possible.

I don't know about the MSDict's Concise Oxford but I am testing their multilanguage pack and it appears that the Dictionary software or application is ALWAYS loaded into Memory even when NOT using it. I have not written to them about it but I am not sure I like that aspect - my 8830 already has limited memory.

A possible alternative to having a dictionary app on your device -- dictionary.com has a mobile site. Go to Dictionary.com on your BlackBerry browser and you get the mobile version. The page has links to thesaurus.com and reference.com also. I bookmarked the site for quick access.

Thanks for the reference. That would definitely be good locally. I am also looking for something that would not use DATA if I'm abroad. I sent them an email about MSDict always in memory but have not heard back.

I should have waited till a few days before a possibly June trip to Europe to give it a try. Right now, it really is not being tested much. I am strongly thinking of getting the multilanguage set (four languages and the Oxford English)
