Ahhh......I see. So it would just be best to set the reminder once the task screen pops up then. So can it be programatically set to default to "relative" without a time?

I have not figured out a way to influence that reminder field except to put a fixed date in it, and certainly no way to put a relative offset in it, but I'm still looking.

hey, thanks so much for this program it works (worked) great on my Curve with 4.5

I had 3.5.5 but found that it wouldn't copy the email when adding as task.

Installed 3.5.9 today but now get a java error (java.lang.NullPointerException: null) when adding to task. On some messages a notice pops up saying its retrieving more of the message from the server and then no part of it is shown in the calendar item.

Also, adding to calendar will invite the sender even if selected as no.

Jeffmik,

I had the same error as you. Go to options->OntoCalendar and set the defaults for the tasks. Task reminder you might as well set to NONE because it isn't working. As far as your retrieving more on messages if you select 'GET TEXT' first then hit onto task it wil work. Something about the HTML not transfering.

I just posted 3.5.10 in the Beta directory. New screenshots on the website as well. Let me know if this fixes the "invite the sender" problem above. It actually changes to menu items around so that you don't need to set it as a global option; you have the choice for each message.

The "retrieving more of the message" popup also explains that if you try again you should have the whole body of the message. I was working on simplifying this process (which only affects 4.5 and newer firmware) but lost access to my 4.5 Blackberry. comptechltd's advise also works.

When I get my new blackberry upgraded to 4.5 I'll get back to that issue.

I Just posted 3.5.11 in the Beta directory. Based on a request from the WishList from Salilsp, Phone Log entries are now eligible for "Onto Tasks" and "Onto Calendar".

This will probably be the last major change before 3.6. If you've been using the Betas, please download this and see if things seem to work well. If so, I'll re-release as 3.6 and put in the main directory.

I'll also keep reading the Wishlist for other feature requests, work on those will start showing up in 3.7.xx in the Beta area.

Thanks for all the kind words, too. I enjoy working on this app, and I enjoy the feedback. I've had over a thousand visitors on my website so far.

rknobbe, you are the BOMB! Thank you for all of your hard work. I hope at some point you are able to fix the task reminder issue. But if not, you have certainly made my life and many others a little easier!

You'll only see them if you have "Show These Call Log Types in Message List" (in your "Phone Log Options" page) set to something besides "None".

I'll make that point clearer on the website.

With "Onto Tasks..." (v3.5.11) it is giving me a "java.lang.NullPointer Exception: null" (will try a battery pull and report back if successful)

Re: Phone Logs - I never tend to display them within my Messages... shame.

3.5.12 is posted, and the null pointer exception has been fixed.

Also, PDM, I added the same Onto hooks into the Phone app so you should be able to do what you expected now.

You read my mind. I just posted this as a suggestion on the google site. The "onto" from the phone logs is great. The other suggestion is to have the same functionality from the contacts. for example, I need to call Tom tomorrow. I go to contacts, select Tom and bam...hit onto calendar. The subject could be pre-pended with "Call".

v3.0.12 seems to be working seemlessly for me at least...

Thanks for adding the Menu Options to "Call Log" the additional functionality a plus.

A minute cosmetic change request that you place a space between name of person and the number in brackets i.e. from "ABC DEF(+1 (234) 567 8901)" to "ABC DEF (+1 (234) 567 8901)".
