Default Are All Curves Created Equal?

Is the Alltel Curve the same as the Verizon Curve? By this I mean the actual phone not the carrier's options, etc. I am on Vrz but just looked at a friend's Alltel Curve and I love it.

No, there are difference between the curve models.

You are looking at a 8330 for Verizon and an 8330 for Alltel. There are no differences as they are the same model.

But there are differences between the 8300, 8310, 8320, and 8330.

However there could be nuance differences with respective builds... for example my 1st curve has a shaky USB port but the sides were not squeaky.. the 2nd one which I replaced had a perfect USB port but squeaky sides. So the build quality may differ for each device in the same category.

And always remember.. grass is always green on other side.

Raja, by the "grass is always green" do you mean carriers or models?

Wirelessly posted

Until you're on the other side that is. Then it wouldn't be so green.

Even the 8330's aren't equal...I had to do an exchange...one was made in mexico...the other in canada...the one made in mexico sucked...the keyboard was squeeky, and overall the build wasn't as great

i agree with eyecon. i've got a buddy who also has a verizon 8330. call me biased, but his feels janky in my hand. squeaky too. not sure if it's where his was made vs. mine, or the fact that i take better care of mine than he does, but i did notice a difference. like i said, this could be all mental, but i'd spend the money and go buy a brand new one before using his

The mexico ones do have a better screen though...the canadian ones have a green tint to them

look under the battery, it will tell you where it was made.

XX2X = Wifi (No GPS)
XX1X = GPS (Right?)
8830 = increased memory with GPS, depending on carrier.

Also Note Alltel and VZW work on different frequencies. Even though they are the same company now. (give it time)
