Confused!!!

Hi All
New here, have just set up BB professional with just the 1 user at the moment, using a Bold as the guinea pig.
I provisioned the phone via USB which went fine, as I was expecting it to.
Since the phone was disconnected from the Server there has been no traffic at all between the BB and Server.
I have checked the firewall and I can see connections from the server to the blackberry relay on port 3101 I think it is, but have added an allow all rule to rule out any problems with that.
I get failed forwarding message in the console and this in the event logs.
The description for Event ID ( 45058 ) in Source ( BlackBerry Synchronization Service ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: {StartNotifyThreadServer}: DBNS component not installed..
The database seems to be working and I am not seeing anything obvious in the logs to indicate a problem with connectivity.
Am I doing anything wrong or not doing something?
Is there anything I can look for in the logs that might help?
A colleague has contacted the provider and they assure us that there is a BB plan on the mobil account
Any help would be very gratefully received.
