If the encoding and charset type were specified in the vcard string, while import a vcard by method fromSerialFormat, there would be a NULLPONITER exception thrown,

another wierd thing , when the charset for the X- fields were specified, the information imported couldn't be find in Address Book, after the import completed.

i 'm not sure whether any of you guys has ecounterd this kind of issues or not,
any advise, if i want to specify the encoding and charset type for these fields?

i.e.
if the formatted string likes this
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET:asd@adsf.com
this would be no errors while import the vcard,
but however if like:
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE;CHARSET=UTF-8:asd@adsf.com

nullpointer exception would araise.

Just a guess - try "CHARSET=UTF8" instead of "UTF-8"...
